Companies and institutions have severe comments and are highly unsatisfied on the quality of candidates that apply for the new job openings. Employers want bright and thoughtful people, who can show individual initiative and work effectively as part of a team. Perseverance, patience, organization and time-management are highly prized abilities, as are the ability to get on with team members and management. As well as a good academic record, employers are looking for “well-rounded” individuals i.e., people that have ‘soft skills’, ‘interpersonal skills’, ‘social skills’ and ‘emotional intelligence’.
On other hand, people are not enough trained during the official educational system on how to prepare and promote themselves in front of the new employer.
“Employability Skills Training – EST” will help unemployed and young people to become job ready by providing intensive pre-employment training. With practical support to develop job search skills and workplace skills. Candidates can also learn about and build the skills they need via exploring and adapting for specific industries on the Macedonian labor market.
EST gives opportunity to enhance work readiness of the unemployed and young people through two different blocks of targeted training, each designed to build upon differing skill sets, both which will help improve their employability prospects/ chances at getting a job and reaching their potential by raising aspirations.
This training will be conducted in two levels:
